Comparing the 2020 Maserati Levante to the 2020 Porsche Cayenne

2020 Maserati LevanteWhen it comes to performance luxury SUVs, our dealers at Zeigler Maserati are often considered the experts. We are experts when it comes to luxury cars, and we’ve earned a reputation for customer service excellence in the Chicagoland, IL area.

While we’re pretty confident of our vehicles, we also understand the value of healthy competition. As such, many of our customers are curious about how vehicles like the new Maserati Levante compare to one of their leading competitors, the 2020 Porsche Cayenne.

Two main things to observe in any luxury SUV are the engine and engine performance. The 2020 Porsche Cayenne comes rather well-equipped, with base models sporting a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine that makes 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. However, the sheer performance power of the 2020 Maserati Levante blows the Porsche SUV out of the water.

Sourcing power from a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine, the Maserati Levante has a top output of 345 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The Maserati Levante also uses an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, so you can exercise complete control behind the wheel.

Both the 2020 Maserati Levante and the 2020 Porsche Cayenne have several tech features, but the Porsche Cayenne has some hold-overs from the last decade. For example, the six-disc CD changer found in the Porsche Cayenne feels a bit dated and is something of a rarity in modern luxury SUVs.

That said, both models sport sprawling infotainment display systems that support Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. However, the Travel Link feature inside the 2020 the Maserati Levante gives drivers real-time traffic and weather updates. And with a total of five USB ports scattered across the base model, each passenger can stay completely charged at all times.

Both luxury SUVs offer a smorgasbord of active safety and driver assistance features, but the standard package in the Maserati Levante provides marginally more coverage. While the 2020 Porsche Cayenne does provide forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, the Maserati Levante offers standard blind-spot monitoring, which can help you stay much more alert behind the wheel.

While both of these luxury SUVs provide an incredible driving experience, it’s tough to disregard the performance, power, and luxury amenities in the 2020 Maserati Levante. At Zeigler Maserati, we’re excited to host the new Maserati Levante in our showroom, and will gladly set you up with a comprehensive test drive once it arrives.
