Which Luxury Sedan Reigns Supreme? The Maserati Ghibli Takes on the Porsche Panamera

2023 Maserati Ghibli

If you’re shopping for a fantastic sportscar, there is no shortage of vehicles to pick from these days. Both Maserati and Porsche models are great choices, but is one better than the other? It’s time to look at a Maserati vs. Porsche model.

Here Zeigler Maserati compares the Maserati Ghibli to the Porsche Panamera.

Power- and Drivetrain

The Maserati Ghibli has excellent power. It comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 345 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard in this new Maserati vehicle, but all-wheel drive is available.

The base engine in the Porsche Panamera is a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6, and it offers 325 horsepower, along with 331 lb-ft of torque. It too comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive as an option.

Interior Amenities

The Maserati Ghibli has a spacious interior that fits five people. Both rows offer a lot of head- and legroom, and the seats are extremely comfortable. Standard features include power-adjustable and heated front seats and genuine leather upholstery.

It should be noted that the rear row of the Porsche Panamera can be cramped for taller passengers. Plus, it comes standard with partial leather upholstery.

Tech Features

You’ll love all of the standard tech features found in the Maserati Ghibli. In addition to a simple-to-operate infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, you’ll get:

  • Satellite Radio
  • Wireless device charging
  • Apple CarPlay®
  • Android Autoâ„¢
  • Navigation
  • Amazon Alexa®
  • Remote start
  • Eight-speaker stereo

The Porsche Panamera has some of the same features, but remote start and Amazon Alexa® aren’t among them.

  • Surround-view parking camera system
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Full-speed adaptive cruise control
  • Highway assist
  • Traffic sign recognition

The Porsche Panamera shares a few of these safety features, however, the parking camera system and blind spot monitoring do not come standard.
