how long does an oil change take

Oil changes are a common service, but that doesn’t mean that most drivers don’t have questions. If you find yourself asking things like, “how long does an oil change take?” Zeigler Maserati is here to help you out. To help you learn more, our team put together this FAQ on oil changes.

How Often do I Need to Change my Oil?

Generally, we recommend changing the oil in your vehicle twice a year or every 5,000 miles. Depending on your driving habits, either one of these markers could come first. Since the exact time varies from model to model, be sure to check your vehicle owner’s manual for the specific timeline.

What’s the Difference Between Synthetic and Regular Motor Oil?

Some vehicles require a certain type of oil: synthetic or conventional. Typically, conventional oil is derived from petroleum and is often considered to be a lower-grade than synthetic. Synthetic oil has undergone more refinement and is processed to make it last longer under extreme heat.

How Long does it Take to Change the Oil in my Vehicle?

Usually, oil changes are one of the fastest service appointments for your Maserati vehicle. On average, an oil change can take as little as 30 minutes or as long as 90 minutes. Most of our customers will wait at our service center during their appointment, but you can always drop off your vehicle and pick it up later. We recommend setting aside at least an hour for the appointment and calling ahead to arrange an appointment to save time.
