Understanding Car Heating and Cooling Problems

Maserati service

When you turn your Maserati car on, you expect it to quickly give you a comfortable climate. When everything works as it should, this isn’t an issue. However, sometimes things go wrong and Maserati service is necessary. Here Zeigler Maserati goes over some problems that can develop with the heating and cooling system.

Worn-Out Thermostat

Just like other parts in your Maserati, the thermostat can get worn out and get stuck in either the open or closed position. When this happens, it can lead to both overheating and overcooling. Fortunately, replacing a thermostat is usually a quick job.

Broken or Stuck Controls

If you turn the knobs or press the buttons and nothing seems to happen – or maybe the opposite of what you want happens – something may be wrong with the controls. Clogged or stuck controls are not uncommon, and just cleaning them can make them good as new. If one is broken, it will need to be replaced.

Buildup of Grime

Over time, dirt and grime can build up in the coolant system. When this happens, it will hamper the flow of the coolant, which causes temperature issues. If this is the problem, a coolant flush will generally take care of it.

Electrical Issues

If the heating or cooling system isn’t working well or working at all, the culprit could be an electrical problem. The issue could be a number of things, including the fan motor or fuses. A loose wire may also be to blame.
